Kuhio Shores #115 - Very Oceanfront!
This is our new condo and you'll love it! We became the
proud new owners this January. It is directly across the
beach access road from Prince Kuhio Resort and is just 10 steps
from the waters edge!
When we walk through the front door our attention is drawn to
the wide expansive view of the ocean which is just steps
away from the living room and lanai and the roar of the surf.
It is difficult to capture that on film but we tried in this
picture.
This is a view of our living room taken from the door
to the entrance of the condo. You can see how large
the living room is and see into the dining room in the distance.
The kitchen is behind the wall in the back.
This picture shows more living room details. The West wall
has the magazine racks and entertainment center.
The left half of the living room showing a little more detail.
Okay, enough of the living room!
This is a picture of the dining room which is adjacent to
the kitchen. It is large and has a great view of the ocean
and is convenient to the kitchen.
In the kitchen, there is a new refrigerator, a microware,
an electric stove, and a dishwasher. There are more cabinets
than you can possible use. The sink, dishwasher, and large
counter top, are on the right side. The cooktop and over are
in the center, and the refridgerator, microwave and more
cabinets on the left side. The kitchen is well stocked with
dishes, cookware, utinsils, appliances, dish towels, and
tupperware. There are lots of little extras in all those
cabinets and drawers!
This is a picture of the bathroom which is off the hallway. It
has a bath tub with shower. You can see the shower curtains
in the reflection of the mirror!
This is a picture of the bedroom. The queen size bed is a
luxury Simons pillow top mattress. It is very comfortable. The
windows have plantation shutters for optimal ventilation
and privacy.
Back to the living room and open the sliding glass doors onto
the lanai.
This is a drawing of the floor plan. The condo is 900 sq ft.

We enjoyed vacationing at your lovely condo. We loved the lanai.
We ate our breakfast there and watched the sunset most days. We
spotted several whales from the lanai also.
We drove all the way to Ke'e Beach and over to Waimea Canyon. We
took the boat tour along the NaPali Coastline, plus visiting falls and
snorkeling. Kauai is certainly the Garden Island. We were blessed with
sunny skies each day!

What a lovely place to spend a few days - and we especially
appreciate the island amenities that we don't own or didn't
have room to pack. Umbrella, ice chest, chairs for watching
the sunset!
Loved the whales, the turtles, and the surfers but especially
the birds. Listen early in the morning for the White-rumped Shana!
- Pacific Golden Plover - Spotted Dove - Common Myna - Zebra Dove - Spotted
Dove - House Sparrow - Red Crested Cardinal - White Tailed Tropicbird! -
Wandering Tattler - Black Crowned Night Heron - and across the road at the
beautiful park - Northern Cardinal - Northern Mockingbird (building a nest)
- Japanese White Eye - Western Meadowlark and Nutmeg Mannikins. We've
been to Kauai many times - it's the best! Jo Jo's Shaved Ice! A Dirty South at the Beach House! Snorkeling at Poipu! We hate to leave.

Jack & Dorinda,
We enjoyed our stay at Kuhio Shores very much, momentary lack of coffee
grinder not withstanding! One of the most exciting events was the storm
yesterday - who would have expected the Civil Defense agency to call
every telephone subscriber to warm about water over some roadways? We were
impressed. It's hard to say "Good bye" so we'll say Aloha!

Mahalo,
What a way to end one year and begin a new one. We:
- Saw whales every day but one
- Snorkeled next door with the turtles and fish
- Saw a monk seal on Shipwreck beach
- Rented bikes for a week and toured the southern part of the island
- Enjoyed our children and grandchildren who had another unit here.
- Favorite eating places other than 115 was Beach House, Shrimp Truck
now at Shopping Center.
- Took Capt Andys boat to Napali Coast - recommend.
- Watched sunrises & sunsets daily.
- did stand up paddle board with outfitters Kauai where we rented
bikes. It was a little hard for this 65 y/o but loved it.
- Star gazed
Thank you for allowing us to use your wonderful place.

Once again we weren't disappointed in Kauai and your place was wonderful.
The turtles entertained us even more than last year. Highlight was cruise
up the NaPali Coast with Captain Andy. We saw abundance of whales and
Spinner Dolphins and both showed their stuff for us. We would definitely
stay here at your place in the future and hope to be back in a couple of
years!
Thanks,

The last time that we were in Kauai was 1967. We stayed at the Coco
Palms. Its a lot different today but we still enjoyed the island very
much. We hope to come back soon and will try and stay with you again.
I think this is the best spot on the island and we saw most of it. Thank
you so . . much!

We had a great stay. Perfect spot. Sunsets worth the price of admission.
Lots of turtles out front. Had a nice meal at Tortilla Republic. Nice
panaceas at TipTop. Beautiful drive in the canyon was a highlight.

Dear Jack and Dorinda,
Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo with us. We loved every
minute of our stay here - our only regret is that we couldn't stay
longer! Snorkeling on Thanksgiving Day is a memory I won't soon forget.
We look forward to our next visit to Kauai and can't imagine staying
any place else.
Couple of food tips:
- Pineapple brioche French toast at the Living Foods Market
- Fresh fish purchases at Koloa Fish Market
- Kahlua pork tacos at Island Tacos in Waimea - sautéed with
red cabbage and spinach :)

Dear Jack and Dorinda,
Thank you so much for helping make our stay with your wonderful
accommodations! Everything was clean and comfy and really allowed
us to relax. This is our second stay at Kuhio Shores. Our first
stay was incredible and this stay was equally a great time. I
only hope we can come back again and again!
Warmest Regards,

Jack & Dorinda,
I was so grateful to have a space as beautiful as your unit to relax
with my partner. All of the extras like the snorkeling mask and the
suntan lotion were unexpected and wonderful. We ate our dinner every
night on the lanai and I am going to miss the waves, surfers, and
coconut palm when we are back in CA. Looking forward to another trip and
another stay in your wonderful home. We loved it!

Dear Jack & Dorinda,
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful condo with us. We loved
every minute of our time here! The sound of the surf right outside the
door was so soothing. Watching the surfers was fun! Oh and the sea turtles
too!
We were so comfortable here. We look forward to another visit to Kauai
and want to stay here again!

Jack & Dorinda,
Thank you for a great stay here in Kauai! We loved waking up every morning
to the sounds of the ocean and the turtles right in the surf by our lanai.
You have a wonderful condo and we are very happy we were able to stay here.
We made the most of our first time here by snorkeling, scuba diving,
enjoying a luau, surfing and doing a sunset cruise. Although we were busy
it was great to relax every morning and every evening at your condo. Thank
you again for a wonderful stay and we hope to return agin in the future.

Jack and Dorinda,
Thank you so much for an awesome stay in your condo. It is our 5th
time here on the island and we never tire of it. We loved watching
the surfers and the turtles and especially the glorious sunsets from
the lanai! We will be back in March - hopefully your condo will be
available.
Thanks again, Mahalo :)

Drew and I had a wonderful time celebrating our 30th anniversary at KS #115!
This is our fourth trip here and we had another fabulous trip! The weather this time provided some of the best days we've ever had! The snorkeling next door
on a calm sunny afternoon was amazing - we saw colorful fish, a sea turtle,
and even a monk seal that swamp by in the distance.
We always enjoy just relaxing here on the lanai watching the beautiful sunrise
and the glorious sunsets. There is constant entertainment watching the
sea turtles near the rocks right out front and the waves and surfers. We
did venture out some and found a few hidden treasures such as
- Baby beach right up the road on the way to Whaler's Cove - a quiet
beach with crystal clear water ~ went there for an amazing sunset.
- Gillian's Beach in the morning - took the dirt road past the Hyatt.
- Went to the Koloa Farmer's Market - noon on Mondays.
We enjoy coffee and breakfast here - often bring back food and enjoy
on the lanai. We liked Savage Shrimp, Bubba's Burgers and Uncle's Shaved
Ice at Kukuiula Village. We always go to Keoki's at Poipu Shopping
Center - T/Th Hula Show, Sat evening Tahitian Show. The General Store
there also has reasonable prices. Also Puka Dog and Papani Gelato.
One pleasant surprise - we did the "show only" at the luau at the
Kilohana Plantation - It was a great show worth the price and those
who came for the show only got reserved seating right up front! The
only thing we missed this time was a rainbow because the weather was
so good!
Thanks again for another amazing time at your condo. We always come
to the same conclusion - there's no place else like K.S. #115! We
hate to go home! Our goal is to make this a yearly trip!! We'll
have to go home and get to work on my Hawaiian Miles!)

Mahalo -
Thank you Jack and Dorinda for allowing us to stay in your condo! Our
first visit to Kauai and we absolutely loved it. We enjoyed the turtles,
surfers, and beach. We had a lovely dinner at the Beach House and went to
the National Tropical Botanical Garden for the sunset tour - stunning! We
enjoyed our week of rest, sun, and ocean beauty!
Thank you for your hospitality in sharing your lovely place.

Carol and I had an amazing time celebrating our 20th anniversary.
Your condo on Kauai is amazing and only added to our celebration.
We enjoyed the peaceful feel of watching the surf from the lanai,
especially when the honu would come and entertain us.
The snorkeling at Lawai Beach next door was something that we will
never forget. So many fish and a honu too.
We hope that this will be the first of many celebrations here on
Kauai and in your home away from home. We look forward to coming
back again.

We have had a wonderful week! We are here celebrating our 12th anniversary
and have enjoyed a week of paradise!
We enjoyed some relaxing days - reading on the lanai, watching the turtles,
golfing. We enjoyed some adventurous days - hiking to the Hanakapiai Falls
(gorgeous!) and ziplining with Outfitters (breathtaking). Loved it all!

Jack & Dorinda,
My daughter Robin and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your lovely condo.
We appreciated how you thought of so many details (like beach chairs) that
made our stay so comfortable. During our stay we were treated with views
of remarkable sunrises, majestic sunsets, bobbing turtles, and playful whales.
Every morning we jogged around Poipu. Each evening we enjoyed our after dinner strolls. I have never had just a mother - daughter vacation before. Certainly we hope to repeat this special getaway every year.
Blessings to you and all who call this condo home!
Sincerely,
Jill & Robin Cobb

Jack & Dorinda,
Our first Christmas away from family (10 children, 20 grand children, and
6 great grand children) and we only missed them a little. Cell phones are
wonderful!
We had a great time eating, reading, and seeing the sights, getting lost
at every turn, and watching the surfers from the lanai. We went to a
Luau on Christmas Eve, helicoptered and went whale watching. We loved
the little town of Koloa and the shopping center off the round about.
The poem, " Once you have slept on an island, you'll never be quite the
same" could have been written about Kauai.
